Katya Rubanova of Yoga Journal Russia

We had the most amazing time staying at Villa de Zoysa. The house is very comfortable, specious and filled with great energy. The staff do an excellent job. The owner is super welcoming and sweet!
We found that the villa is an oasis, beautiful wild beach just outside the gate, tasty food with local flavor, and just peace and joy all around. I would recommend this place to anyone for a yoga retreat or just stay in Sri Lanka.

Staying at beautiful Villa de Zoysa was a calming and reenergising experience, the perfect settings for yoga. You feel at home being cared for by Davinde and his ever smiling staff sharing their knowledge about the culture, people and foods of Sri Lanka. I have returned to Norway with a piece of their goodness and positive thinking, and some delicious veggie recipes. Thank you!

Devinda and his friends with positive thoughts made me feel positive as well and think who I really am.

Our ten days at the Villa de Zoysa were magical—the property with its lush greenery, warm and inviting host, caring staff and stunning architecture instantly put you into relaxation mode. The guests that gather here are also very special and sharing meals, experiences and engaging in meaningful conversations with each of them around the beautiful dining table was a highlight of our trip. Devinda is such a wonderful host, he takes the time and effort to be present and to engage with his guests. He also pampers us in so many ways—fresh coconut water after a sweaty yoga session, delicious fruit in the kitchen for when snack attack hits and am amazing Ayurvedic doctor for massages on-site in a beautiful room. Our yoga teacher, Nina Butler, was an absolute highlight: she brought so much awareness, knowledge, energy and plain fun to each and every session, I so miss waking up and jumping into a long Vinyasa practise. Our time at the Villa this February was a wonderful way to start the new year and I’ll definitely be returning there, if for now, only in my memories.

Just some days after our yoga retreat guided by Katya at Villa de Zoysa. Amazing place, nice people and just good vibes of the house with more than 100 years of history. Dewinda and his team did everything that we could feel like at home. Wonderful sunsets, ceremony in the Buddhism temple, trip on local train, walking with the dogs on the beach etc. Just amazing time??
